About

Hi! And welcome to my blog.

My name is Alexander Batishchev, I’m a .NET developer and software architect.
I was born in Moscow, Russia and lived there for almost 26 years.

In February, 2008, when I was 22, I’ve graduated from Moscow State Institute of Radio-Engineering, Electronics and Automation (MIREA). There I started learning and felt in love with C#, it was version 1.0 of the language and the platform.

In October, 2012 I’ve moved to Bellevue, State of Washington, United States of America to work as a software development engineer-vendor at Microsoft Corp.

Now we – me, my wife Kristina and our son Michael – live in Redmond, WA.

From July, 2013 to June, 2014 I worked in Microsoft Open Tech as a CI and infrastructure engineer.

For a while I was a software developer at WideOrbit, a mid-size company from San Francisco, CA. I worked in the office in Lynnwood, WA. I’ve driven total more than 10.000 miles between home and work in that period.

In April, 2015 we’ve moved to Sammamish, WA.

Since June, 2015 I’m working full-time at Microsoft as a software engineer 2, SMSG (Sales, Marketing and Services) org, MPSIT (Marketing, Partner and Sales) group, Partner Incentives (PI) project. My current job is to split monolithic applications on-premises into micro web-services in Azure.

In May, 2016 our daugher should be born.

In June, 2016 a re-org should take place and my team will join UST (Universal Store Team) in OSE (Operating Systems Engineering).
